We are delighted to share with you the fantastic news that once again TDJS has been awarded the prestigious School Games Platinum Award for participation and contribution to sport in 2025-2026.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Every year, schools can apply to be considered for bronze/silver/ gold award marks from School Games. The School Games adjudicators, judge each school against stringent criteria in these areas of sports; participation, higher level competitions, inclusive festivals and clubs, before determining the suitable award level. If you reach the criteria for the Gold mark, you are then eligible to submit a further application for the Platinum award.
This is no mean feat, as the Platinum Mark is only awarded to a handful of schools nationwide who have consistently demonstrated a consistent dedication to sport and activity within their primary school.
We are immensely proud of all our pupils and staff for their continued dedication to all aspects of school sport and exercise.
None of this would be possible without the tireless work of Mrs Charlton who dedicates countless hours to providing opportunities for children to access sport. Her dedication, passion and hard work are a huge asset to our school and this award is an ongoing recognition of her hard work.
