French Trip - Year 6
Day 5 - 2.30pm The coaches have made it through the Eurotunnel and are heading home. We are expecting them back at school at the original time of 4.30pm
10.30am An interesting and tasty trip to Houplines to discover all about waffles followed by the start of the journey home.
Day 4 - A successful trip to the market at Hesdin followed by a slightly damper trip to the beach today.
Some lucky parents will be getting some thoughtful gifts ... others will enjoy the portable speaker with flashing lights!!
Day 3 - 9.30pm. Some light showers this afternoon but it didn’t dampen the spirits. A visit to Amiens cathedral, a trip along the river followed by an evening of fun and laughter at the bowling lanes.
1.30pm. Currently relaxing in the park and having fun after a morning at the zoo. Many new photos below
Today we are off to Amiens to visit the cathedral, go on a boat ride and a trip to the zoo
Day 2- 7.30pm. The weather was kind to us today so we enjoyed a walk around Albert after dinner followed by games in the park.
1.20. The groups have spent a thoughtful and interesting morning visiting the Newfoundland Memorial, Thiepval Memorial and Wellington Quarry. The weather is good. Plenty of photos below.
6.30am Last night the children all enjoyed a lovely walk into Albert where we had dinner. Today is bright and sunny and after breakfast we’ll soon be heading off to Wellington quarry,Thiepvaal memorial and Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland memorial .
Day 1 - 11.30am After an early start Year 6 are currently on the ferry and heading (hopefully) for sunnier skies.
2pm - The ferry trip was easy and they are safely in France now.
