Who are the Friends of Thames Ditton Junior School?

The Friends exists to raise money which is invested in the school to enrich the childrens’ education and play.

We typically raise about £30k a year which is vital money at a time where school budgets are under so much pressure.

Recent projects wholly or part funded by the TDJS Friends have been the library, science lab, playground equipment, musical instruments, classroom technology, books, landscaping, ipads and so on. We also support extra-curricular workshops throughout the year, like seminars on Internet safety.

We do this by running a programme of events throughout the year which give parents, children and teachers a chance to come together as a school community and have fun for a good cause.

Our regular events involving parents include the Christmas and Summer Fairs, a Spring Ball and a Quiz Night. We also do some fun stuff specifically for the children – the Halloween Disco, our Easter Eggstravaganza, and a Kids Comedy Club.

Every parent of the school is automatically a member of the Friends of Thames Ditton Junior School.
